Now we are turning our backs on refugees, mainly women and children facing starvation and death. We, the greatest country on the face of the earth, fear poor women and children. We can not claim to be Christian, or Jewish, or Muslim, or any faith tradition I’m aware of if we refuse to act for those less fortunate. Faith teaches love and care for those in need not fear and hate for those who are different. Maybe it’s not the women and children we fear so much as it is the color of their skin. Well you can be racist or bigoted but you can not at the same time claim to be a follower of any of the worlds great faith traditions .
